SUMMARY:Materials Lab Workshop: Modern Relics with Artist Duo MOSH
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a hands-on workshop with artist duo Suzanne Moseley & Adrienne Shishko (MOSH) to create your own small 3D sculptures using beeswax and upcycled containers and other materials. The artists will talk about the work they do to bring awareness to our individual waste streams and their impact on the environment. They’ll also share how the lessons they have learned from their collaboration can be applied to solving environmental issues together. Planned around Earth Day and to coincide with Harvard’s university-wide ARTS FIRST Festival\, the workshop is an opportunity for us to consider how the topic of our waste streams will define this time period to future generations\, and how we can all contribute to global environmental challenges through a more creative engagement with all that we consume. \nMaterials are included in the fee\, but if you wish\, you may also bring one or two containers from your own personal waste stream\, such as plastic bottles\, aluminum soda cans\, and detergent or milk containers. These vessels will be the starting point for creating your own “modern relic.” \nThe hands-on session will take place in the Materials Lab on the Lower Level. \n$15 materials fee. Registration is required and space is limited; registration will open on this form\, beginning on Thursday\, April 18\, at 10am. Materials fee must be paid to confirm registration. Minimum age of 14; no previous experience required. \n  Save
