DESCRIPTION:The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild\, together with friends of Calvin Grimm presents CALVIN GRIMM · Studio Selects on Saturday and Sunday\, July 19 and 20\, 2025\, 11 am–5 pm at the Byrdcliffe Barn\, 485 Upper Byrdcliffe Road\, Byrdcliffe Arts Colony\, Woodstock\, NY. This special solo exhibition features paintings from Calvin’s archive housed in his hand-built home studio in Shady\, NY. This exhibit is a celebration of Calvin’s lifelong career in abstract expressionism and as a fixture of the Woodstock artistic community.\nCalvin’s work draws on his years of wilderness exploration and education around the world\, encompassing the Alaskan and Yucatan coasts\, the wildlands of Wyoming\, the depths of the ocean and cosmos\, and the Lascaux and Chauvet cave paintings found in southern France.\n\nReception Saturday and Sunday\, 1 pm–3 pm.More information: 845-679-2079

Ford\, awarded Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild’s Chairman Emeritus and Byrdcliffe Historian. There will be a silent auction with generous artwork donations from noted historic and contemporary artists affiliated with the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild with catering provided by Blue Mountain Bistro to Go\, Kingston\, N.Y.\nAbout Henry T. Ford:Having multi-generational ties to the Hudson Valley including Byrdcliffe\, Henry T. Ford has a deep\, abiding love for the community and its rich cultural history. Henry T. Ford is a longtime member of the Board of Directors for the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild and has been honored with the titles of Byrdcliffe Historian and Director Emeritus.\nAbout the Lucky 5:The Lucky 5 is a hard-swinging jazz band that blends 30’s and 40’s style swing with gypsy and Parisian flavors to create a unique blend of music that stands out among the pack. Combining originals and creative reworkings of old standards\, The Lucky 5 continues to be a favorite among music lovers young and old alike.\nAbout the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild:The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild is a regional center for the arts located in Woodstock\, New York.
