SUMMARY:Mary Catherine Solberg – Quarantine
DESCRIPTION:Mary Catherine Solberg has a new body of work the past year and many of which were done during the past 6 months.  Her portrait paintings are edgy and reflective on woman issues as well as social issues.   This will be our first exhibition since the pandemic and masks will be required.   See website for exhibition dates and times. \nA lot of my imagery right now is young girls/women. The overall theme is that they are inheriting this earth from us and it’s pretty messed up. There is both anguish and hope. The work is about transition and change but first an acknowledgment of what exists along with the attendant emotions that go along with that. Young woman have more of a voice now legally and socially and that gives me optimism for the future. – Mary Catherine Solberg
