SUMMARY:Industrial Artistry | Takuma Yamazaki
DESCRIPTION:This October\, the walls of The Loft will awaken with the work of Japanese artist Takuma Yamazaki\, presenting a once-in-a-moment encounter with his boundary-breaking world of form\, precision\, and quiet vitality. \n  \nTakuma Yamazaki is an artist from Japan who listens closely to the life hidden within materials. Trained at Tama Art University and once a designer of cameras at Canon Inc.\, he learned the precision of form while seeking a deeper connection between objects and the living world. \n  \nHis project Bio-Vide brought this vision to light in 2016\, earning the Lexus Design Award and an exhibition in Milan. Later\, Sound of Drawing invited blind participants to hear the act of drawing\, a work that won the Grand Prix and Audience Award at the KOKUYO Design Award in Japan. These achievements revealed his gift for creating works that cross the line between invention and art. \n  \nIn 2019\, Yamazaki founded TAKUMA YAMAZAKI DESIGN. His collaborations since then have spanned continents\, winning recognition in Europe\, Asia\, and the United States. Recent projects reach toward the cosmos\, designing forms that support astronauts and future space exploration. \n  \nCalling himself a “Matter Tuner\,” Yamazaki shapes objects that breathe with presence. His art invites us to feel the quiet energy of materials\, where precision and spirit meet in harmony. \n  \n  \nExhibition Dates: October 9\, 2025 | Thursday | 12pm-8pm \nGallery Hours: Tuesday–Saturday\, 11:00 AM–6:00 PM \nVenue: The Loft\, 532 W 25th Street\, New York\, NY\, 10001 \nEventURL: https://agifineart.com/exhibitions/industrial-artistry-takuma-yamazaki/ \n  \nAbout AGI Fine Art: \nAGI Fine Art was established by Agora Gallery of New York City to leverage years of experience in supporting artists who would like to exhibit their art at leading art events\, including Miami Art Week\, Artexpo New York\, and more.

SUMMARY:“Waterflames & Walking on Water” Art by Makoto Fujimura
DESCRIPTION:Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum and Berry’s Center for Integrity and Leadership (BCIL) are excited to host art by leading contemporary artist Makoto Fujimura. The exhibit features works from Fujimura’s “Waterflames” and “Walking on Water” painting series done as elegies after traumatic disasters\, among other paintings to capture a comprehensive nature of his art. \nThese works integrate the language of Japanese art of 16th to 17th Century with the Modernist works of Mark Rothko and Arshile Gorky\, together into a contemporary expression. Nihonga (Japanese style painting using pulverized minerals and gold and silver) materials are transmuted into contemporary expression of Fujimura’s as “slow art”.
