Forty Women Pulling at The Threads of Social Discourse – FAMA and Guests is coming to a close and we invite you to join us for a soft closing on October 24, 2020 from 12–6 pm at 350 NE 75th St Space 109 Miami, FL 33138.
40 Women Pulling at the Thread of Social Discourse: FAMA & Guests is a celebration of the Women’s Suffrage centennial in an election year. The textile-centric exhibition explores and unifies fiber art, the intersections of femininity, race, and history, and feminist sociopolitics.
Fiber Artists-Miami Association (FAMA) is a collaborative of fiber artists and textile enthusiasts that encourages dialogue and a culture of free expression. Their mission is to advance the fiber medium as a high art through advocacy and education. To facilitate opportunities for artists, makers, and innovators of the medium.
