Bowery Gallery is pleased to present the work of Colleen Franca in her second solo exhibition, Outside/Inside, May 20 through June 14, 2025.   As the title suggests, the exhibition features landscapes (outside) and still lifes (inside). The work summons Franca’s gratifying response to nature.

In the artist’s words: “Direct observation is very important to me, it is always the light that draws me in and keeps me searching – illuminating things that are not immediately obvious.”

The opening reception, which is free and open to the public, is on Thursday, May 22, from 5PM to 8PM.

At the closing reception, on Saturday, June 14, at 3PM, the writers Jennifer Firestone and Thad Rutkowski will read excerpts from their recent work. Jennifer Firestone is the author of five books of poetry, most recently Story by Ugly Duckling Press.  Thad Rutkowski is the author of seven books, most recently Tricks of Light, a poetry collection.
