Dena Schutzer’s fourth solo show at Bowery Gallery includes more than forty paintings that catch poignant moments of daily life in COVID-stricken New York City and Yonkers, NY.
Paintings in show depict intimate moments between the artist and her ninety-year-old mother, scenes from inside a New York City high school, and neighborhood scenes from the artist’s neighborhood in Yonkers, NY. Some paintings in the show reflect the artist’s visceral reactions to the new gravity-defying luxury buildings crowding NYC’s west side.

Tuesday – Saturday, 11am-6pm (closed on December 25)
There will be an opening reception on Thursday, December 2, 5pm-8pm.
The artist will be at the gallery every Saturday.
Proof of vaccination is required according to New York City guidelines.
