Join us Thursday, February 13^th at 5 p.m. for a chance to learn the Casino, the Cuban dance that launched salsa! We’ll kick off with a screening of the short film Wheel of Life / La Rueda de la Vida (2015) in the Wein Experimental Theatre in the Quick Center for the Arts.

Then we’ll get on the dance floor, as instructor Victoria Harrel teaches us basic Casino steps and figures, as well as leading and following technique.

We encourage participants of all ages and skills to participate!

This event is presented in conjunction with Archives of Consciousness: Six Cuban Artists. This exhibition will be on view in the museum’s Walsh Gallery from January 24 – May 15, 2020.
