Artist Sally Ketcham presents her mixed media show comprised of paintings, drawings, photography and found objects/assemblage. Her work reflects both childhood and recent pandemic time spent near, in and on the waters and beaches of Kitsap County. This exhibition references the stresses (big and small) in the ecosystem.

The surface of the water – often stunningly calm, blue and clear contrasts with species decimation underneath, with the ominous reminders of the militarization of the area seas, and the deafening noise of vessel traffic under the surface. At the same time rebirth and resiliency are everywhere, less, but still there. While Sally Ketcham’s images may not explicitly illustrate or address any of this, the form of the show and to some extent the content references these contradictions along with the struggle, loss and hope for sea life and their homes.
