Gallery Talk: Graven Images—Symbolism of Life and Death on Early American Graves

FreeExplore the iconography of early American gravestones from New England burial grounds, and gain insight into localized craftsmanship and early American belief systems. These gravestone rubbings are featured in a small installation titled Spiritual Relief, now on view in Gallery 2240.
