Etherton Gallery is pleased to present Go Figure featuring painting and mixed media by Jack Balas, Titus Castanza, and Holly Roberts, with sculpture by Robert Wilson, and an installation of paintings by Benjamin M Johnson in the gallery pop-up. Balas, Castanza and Roberts use the figure to narrate personal stories — which upon reflection are also our own — addressing universal themes that acknowledge the questioning, wry, often uncomfortable compartmentalized sum of ourselves. Robert Wilson believes that the creatures he fashions from found wood and metal determine the path of their creation. In contrast, the foundation of Johnson’s paintings is an engagement with the past that permeates his visual poems about the human experience. Go Figure opens with a reception at  7-10pm, Sat.
