Defense Mechanisms by Neal Gwaltney

Step into the main gallery and experience A Mutual Core by Neal Gwaltney. This exhibition challenges our preconceived notions of gender roles and societal norms through Gwaltney’s masterful use of distortion and ambiguity. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the familiar in an unfamiliar way.

Join us and immerse yourself in the world of flux and transformation that Gwaltney has created.

Altar America Project Juried Exhibit
We invite you to join us for a unique celebration of ancestor remembrance that draws inspiration from the vibrant traditions of Dia de los Muertos and other cultural celebrations from around the world. This exhibit features seventeen talented artists who have created stunning altars of honor and remembrance that transform the Centre Gallery into a space of reflection and celebration.  Come be a part of this festival of cross-cultural connection as we honor our ancestors and celebrate their enduring legacy. Through the power of art and community, we will come together to explore the rich diversity of our shared cultural heritage and pay tribute to those who came before us.

And on November 5th we will continue our exploration of Altar America with a day of music, speakers, and refreshments at Art Works from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Learn more: Click Here

Suggestion by Association by Daniel Bice

Join us in the Corner Gallery to discover the hidden stories within still life paintings by Daniel Bice. Bice’s paintings are a celebration of the beauty of everyday objects, depicted through his moving brushstrokes. His interest lies in the stories that can be told through these objects without actually saying it. Through the association of objects, his paintings suggest a range of stories that are waiting to be discovered. What is just outside of the frame? Who put these things here and why? These are some of the questions that can be explored and answered while admiring Bice’s work.

RPMG Photography Exhibit 2023

It’s the best of 2023 in photography! The Richmond Photo Meetup Group’s exhibit features the very best work of their talented members. RPMG is a dynamic social photography group that meets up at various locations in the Richmond area to photograph and offer feedback on their work. This exhibit is a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and creativity of our local photography community. From stunning landscapes to captivating portraits, RPMG has captured it all and will be on display in the Port Gallery. This image is by member Robert Pfeifer.
