Virtual Lecture: Nature’s Best Hope

March 23, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

On Tuesday, March 23rd, at 5 p.m. Douglas Tallamy, Professor of Entomology at University of Delaware, will give a virtual lecture. Dr. Douglas Tallamy will give a virtual lecture titled “Nature’s Best Hope”, which is the title of his best-selling book about a new approach to conservation which starts in your backyard. Homeowners everywhere can turn their yards into conservation corridors that provide wildlife habitats. Because this approach relies on the initiatives of private individuals, it is immune from the whims of government policy. Even more important, it’s practical, effective, and easy—you will walk away with specific suggestions you can incorporate into your own yard.

This event is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Birds of the Northeast: Gulls to Great Auks. Learn more about the exhibition here.

Presented in partnership with the Department of Biology. The Pequot Library, Southport, Connecticut Audubon Society-Fairfield Region, and the Greenwich Audubon Center are community partners for this exhibition and its related programming.
