Pictor Gallery is a gallery located in the Landmark Arts Building in New York City’s Chelsea Gallery District. It was established with the mission to encourage and promote the creative efforts of painters, sculptors, and other visual artists. Member artists from New York and around the country, bring a diversity of ideas together in order to inspire one another, to curate collective and collaborative exhibitions, and to continually engage the art-seeking public in meaningful conversation.

Pictor is an affiliate to the innovative virtual platform ArtSpeak Collective, which was created for emerging and established artists in 2020 as a response to the global coronavirus. In a single year, ArtSpeak Collective produced six online events, earned 500 subscribers, logged 1,500 viewers on YouTube, and worked with 55 artists. As physical gallery space reopened in New York City, the move to create Pictor was a natural one.

Our gallery is divided into two spaces. Currently in our front space (Gallery 1) we have Charles Compo’s solo show “PSYCHODRAMATIC LANDSCAPES” And in Gallery 2 we have a members group show – “POINTS OF VIEW” with Cindy Bernier, Laurie Murray and Barbara Shelly. The shows through November 27th. NEXT UP we will host our second Invitational and Members Small Works Show “ART FOR GRABS” 11/30 – 12 /30. Opening Reception December 2, 5-8 PM. CHECK OUT this site for updates on upcoming shows throughout the year!
