SOLO Impression was founded in 1975 by Judith Solodkin, the first woman to graduate from the Tamarind Institute as a Master Lithographer.  In addition to publishing, SOLO Impression contracts to print editions for artists and other publishers.

SOLO Impression takes a collaborative approach working closely with the artist to develop their images to their fullest. The printers guide the artist through sometimes unfamiliar territory, acquainting the artist with the multitude of possibilities, suggesting innovative and experimental techniques. On approval by the artist limited editions are printed and documentation provided.
