“Making Sense” Opening Reception
February 10, 2022 @ 6:00 am - 8:00 pm
Denise Adler’s latest show, “Making Sense” is a retrospective of sorts tracing the trajectory of work the artist has created over her professional life. A deep dive into the common threads that connect and distinguish her style and sensibility across mediums. Denise Adler sets out to create portraits and dreamscapes that express the mythic and legendary. These pieces, both personal and archetypical, memorialize a moment in time. Her mixed media work often takes the form of drawing, painting and collage. Magazines, photographs and found materials factor in and become the story within the story. Her solo show “Making Sense” in February 2022 at Pictor Gallery, looks at the artist’s journey over her more than 40 year career. It includes photography, printmaking as well as mixed media collage and pairs her earlier works with more recent work, with the goal of telling a cohesive and personal story.
In Gallery 2 is “States of Mind” showing works by Terri Fraser, Judith Luongo, Elizabeth Stern
