SHINY OBJECTS presents paintings by Anne Leith and Elynne Rosenfeld together with wall sculpture by Kathleen Spicer. These three colleagues, all members of InLiquid and Montgomery County Guild of Professional Artists, have exhibited extensively together. Inspired by the natural world, all three artists incorporate ambient light to produce the shifting element of shine. Leith applies gold, copper and silver leaf in her plein air oil paintings while Rosenfeld incorporates shattered tempered glass and beads together into her iridescent artworks and Spicer’s wall sculptures employs metallic paint allowing light to skip over her curved surfaces.
