Brian McDonald masterfully uses humor in his collage paintings as he reflects on American consumerism and other aspects of contemporary life. Matthew Schofield creates tiny painterly, conceptual gems based on what he calls the “throw-away” snapshots everyone finds tucked in bureau drawers. Both artists repeatedly engage the viewer in layered, visual complexities.
